The GDM 2010 Initiative began in 2009 with the aim to raise interest and support for further discussion and development of a Green Development Mechanism (GDM) by the 10th Conference of the Parties of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) which took place in October 2010 in Nagoya, Japan.
